INSTRUCTIONS FOR REUSABLE CLIP APPLER (&POLYMER DISPOSABLE CLIPS)

Before using product, read the following information thoroughly. This booklet is designed to assist in using this product. It’s not a reference to surgical techniques.

The devices were designed, tested and manufactured for single patient use, unless it specifies on the contrary.

Indications:

LAPAROSCOPIC CLIP APPLIER, REUSABLE:

This titanium instrument is autoclavable with a shaft of 10mm diameter and 33cms long. It has been developed for laparoscopic surgeries in combination with the corresponding proper trocar cannulas or converters. This device is used to apply polymer clips in

laparoscopic surgeries. Depending on the instrument color, it belongs to a specific and different clip dimensión.

GOLD clip applier: corresponding to the gold polymer clip, size XL.

PURPLE clip applier: corresponding to the purple polymer clip, size L.

GREEN clip applier: corresponding to the green polymer clip, size M. This Green applier has a shaft diameter of 5mm and it is 33cms long.

OPEN SURGERY CLIP APPLIER, REUSABLE:

The titanium instrument is autoclavable and it is used to place the polymer clips in open surgeries. There are 3 types according to the clip dimension: XL,L,M.

POLYMER CLIPS, disposable:

Sterile container of 6 polymer clip, color: gold, purple or green according to the size XL, L, M, respectively. Polymer clips are used to clamp or occlusion vessels or other small tubular structures in order to avoid bleeding after the cut of these structures.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Load the polymer clip, extracting it from the container through the tip of the applier.

Introduce the applier with the loaded clip through the appropriate cannula size (5mm.10mm). Place the clip around the structure to ligate. – do not place it over another clip or over a tough structures because it could drive the device to failure or to deformity of the

clip. – Pull the instrument trigger in order to close the clip around the structure. Please, verify the right clip placement and closure.

CONTRAINDICATIONS: These devices are intended for single-use only as indicated. Endoscopic procedures should be performed by physicians having adequate training and familiarity with these procedures.

CAUTION: For prescription only. Federal law (USA) restricts this device to sale by or on the order of a physician.

WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS: clips appliers must be cleanned and sterilized (autoclavable , max.135º before the surgical intervention and after its use. This device has not intended use for occlusion of the Faloppian Tubes with contraceptive pursposes, but it can be

used to get the proper hemostasia after having cut one of the mentioned tubes. Keep away from electrosurgical electrodes in the surgical field.

STORE AT ROOM TEMPERATURE, DO NOT EXPOSE THE DEVICE TO TEMPERATURES ABOVE 130º / 54º. The devices are latex free.

These indications are valid for the sterilely packed instruments.
