The ergonomic designed and logically arranged displays inform the user about all relevant values of the insufflation at any time. The three level(10—30l/min or 20—40l/min)gas flow can be selected in fine increments. Automatic alarm function has been used for an intuitively simple operation and assures maximum safety, particularly in preselectable,applications (up to max. 40l/min). The insufflation pressure is limited to the preselected value, which efficiently prevents, for example, a possible emphysema (in case of a misplacement of the insufflation instrument in the tissue). here, the insufflation behavior depends on the filling level of the body cavity, whereby an optimized filling speed is achieved with fully automatic, situation-related adapted insufflation pressure values. A semi-continual gas flow provides an even filling procedure with small pressure fluctuations in the body cavity and a high average insufflation performance (since in many areas the otherwise usual filling pauses are not required), as well as a very low noise level.
